## What LingoVoice does

LingoVoice lets people who speak different languages hold a live conversation in real time. One person creates a room and shares an invite link (the other person joins with no account) or a six-character room code (they sign in with a free account), and each picks their own language. Every spoken or typed message is translated for everyone else in the room within seconds.

The platform uses multiple professional-grade translation engines with intelligent routing to pick the best engine for each language pair. Voice messages are transcribed, translated, and optionally read aloud in a natural text-to-speech voice. The rare community languages that traditional interpreter agencies struggle to find, Tigrinya, Pashto, Amharic, Somali, Kinyarwanda, Kurdish, Farsi and Arabic, are all supported.

## What LingoVoice is NOT

- Not a document translation service. For certified document translation, see Lingo Service Translations (lingoservice.com), a separate sister product for written translations and certified documents.
- Not a human interpreter booking platform. LingoVoice is AI-powered real-time interpreting delivered in seconds. It is not an agency that books human interpreters for scheduled appointments.
- Not a British Sign Language (BSL) service.
- Not a legal replacement for a certified interpreter in contexts that legally require one (e.g., contested asylum tribunals). For critical proceedings, LingoVoice complements rather than replaces a certified interpreter.

## How it works

1. Create a free account at lingovoice.ai/app (email, Google, or Microsoft sign-in)
2. Enter your name and select your preferred language
3. Create a room, the platform generates a six-character room code
4. Share the invite link (they join with no account) or the six-character room code (they sign in with a free account) and join
5. Start communicating, every message is translated in real time for everyone

## Organisation accounts

Teams and companies can create an organisation account with a shared minute pool. Owners and admins invite members by email, assign roles (owner, admin, member), and purchase minutes for the whole team. Organisation minutes are used first, before individual balances. Billing dashboard shows per-user usage and invoice history.

## Joining a room

Hosts share a guest invite link or a six-character room code from inside any active room. With the invite link the other person joins in any browser with no account; with just the room code they sign in with a free account. Either way they choose their language and join the conversation with full text and voice. Session minutes are billed to the host's balance (or their organisation's pool). When the host leaves or runs out of minutes, the room ends.

- LingoVoice is not "NHS-approved" or formally listed on an NHS framework. The pilot programme is open to NHS trusts and GP surgeries.
